Sewerage Troubleshooting Guide

< 1 min read

Peak flow is higher than Capacity #

Reason

  1. The calculated sewage flow rate is higher than the volumetric capacity.

Solution

  1. Double check the PE value at the pipe (to avoid duplicated PE values/ overdesign results)
  2. Adjust pipe diameter to bigger size
  3. Iterate sewer diameter from “No” to “Yes”

Gradient is out of range #

Reason

  1. Gradient inserted is not within range specified in the Project Settings. (Default limit: 1/200 < 1/x < 1/50)

Solution

  1. Input gradient to be within range that is defined in the Project Settings.
  2. Set the gradient iteration from “No” to “Yes”
  3. If required, use the Constraint Parameters function to adjust the gradient limit.

Velocity is out of range #

Reason

  1. Velocity of sewage is not within range specified in the Project Settings (Default limit: 0.4m/s < x < 4.0m/s)

Solution

  1. Adjust pipe diameter/ Set the diameter iteration from “No” to “Yes”
  2. Adjust gradient/ Set the gradient iteration from “No” to “Yes”
  3. If required, use the Constraint Parameters to customize the velocity limit
