Guide on Slope “In” & “Out”

Introduction #

Guide on slope hatching, modeling and ratio adjustment will be explained in this section.

Purpose #

MiTS 2.0.46.0 onwards will consider slope “in” direction slope as another one different layer. The main purpose of this is to ensure the consistency of the hatching color of internal slope regardless of the comparison elevation whether it is cut or fill. This is done in order to avoid major confusion of users.

Unlike “out” direction slope, it will remain as before which is categorized into two that is “cut” or “fill”.

Slope In and Slope Out Hatch Color #

Slope “in” is represented as one layer (orange as default).

Slope “out” can be represented as two different hatches, either cut hatching or fill hatching.

Image 2 Blue hatch represents “cut” and pink hatch represents “fill”

Create Slope In and Slope Out #

Slope “in” #

Double click the platform > Set “In” in Slope Direction column > Click OK

Slope “out” #

Double click the platform > Set “out” in Slope Direction column > Click OK

Slope In and Slope Out Ratio #

Slope Template Configuration, the latest feature implemented in our software offers users the flexibility to independently modify “In” and “Out” slope dimensions.

Notably, this feature includes the option to configure different ratios and lengths for each slope tier, for each cut and fill scenario, or for right-side and left-side slopes of the road design.

This enhanced customization empowers users to precisely adapt the slope designs to diverse project requirements, providing control and efficiency. Users may refer to our documentation on How to Modify Slope Dimension for further guidance on the usage.
