How do we run the MiTS application on a Mac?

1 min read

The MiTS application is specifically tailored for the Windows operating system, requiring at least Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and above for proper operation. As a result, Mac users may experience challenges in utilizing the software natively.

However, it is not impossible, as there are several effective solutions to overcome it, which will be discussed below.

Method 1: Virtual Machines #

It allows users to run a separate operating system within the main macOS with the help of special programs such as Parallels, VMWare Fusion, etc.

You may refer to this website for further introduction on running the Virtual Machines.

Method 2: Boot Camp Assistant #

It allows users to run Windows and macOS side by side on one single hard drive. Therefore, the MiTS application can be installed on the machine.

Steps for installing the Boot Camp can be found on the Apple Support page here.

Users can also refer to the article here on Boot Camp Assistant. (Refer to the second section of the article)

Other Available Methods #

Other than the solutions above, users may also refer to other suggested methods, such as using Wine or the CrossOver application (refer to the third and fourth sections of the article) to run the MiTS software on macOS.

Users may also try to run the MiTS application through a Remote Desktop Software as suggested in the article here.
