How to solve for Dongle error: ‘Hard lock error [battery dies]’

What to do when your dongle suddenly cannot be used? When you launched MiTS software, a message on ‘Hard lock error [battery dies]’ popped up like the image below;

This error indicates that the user’s timer dongle is no longer active, which means the clock dies.

When this happens, the issue can be fixed by;

  • Sending the user a permanent package, as it will then bypass the clock function


  • If the user has overdue payments, they will have to settle it first, and
  • If the user has outstanding but not overdue payments, then we shall issue them a new dongle
