Conditions for Slope Generation Termination

2 min read

The slope is generated starting from the platform line and continues downward. The slope generation process halts upon encountering the following elements (whichever comes first):

  1. The ground level, or
  2. The boundary line, or
  3. Other platform line, or
  4. The wall line.

Slope Stops at Ground Level #

Slope starts from platform line elevation until it reaches ground level

Slope Stops at Boundary Line #

When a slope boundary line exists near the platform, the slope will terminate at that boundary.

Slope Stops when meets nearest Platform Line #

Slope will stop generate when it touches other nearest platform lines

Slope Stops at Wall Line #

Special Case: No Visible Slope #

No visible slope will be formed if any of the following situations occurs.

  1. Platform line overlap with boundary line (i.e.:same location or elevation)
  2. Different elevation among neighboring platforms

This is because there is no vertical or horizontal space for the slope to develop. In such cases, slope generation may be skipped entirely or simply not generated at all.

Platform line overlap with boundary line (i.e.:same location or elevation) #

Here is an explanation based on the image below.

Left Platform:
The boundary line encloses the platform, so the slope is successfully generated and stops once it touches the boundary line.

Middle Platform:
The boundary line overlaps with the platform line, so the slope generation is not visible due to the complete overlap.

Right Platform:
There is no boundary line, so the slope is generated and continues until it intersects/ touches with the ground level.

Different Elevation among Neighboring Platforms
#

When platforms at different elevations are directly adjacent and touch each other, the system does not generate a slope. Technically, this results in a vertical slope. Users can opt to insert a retaining wall in between the platforms. You may refer here on how to insert a retaining wall at platform.
