The measurement of Earthworks slope cut section with vdrain is measured from one flat berm to the next flat berm. Users might get confused and found that the measurement is different with the one assigned in the platform editor and might as well found out that the ratio is not tally with the measurement.

Let’s take a look at the following example to understand further.
As per example shown below, the maximum height is assigned to be 4570 mm in the platform editor for both Platform 1 and Platform 2. VShaped berm drain also are assigned to all of the edges.
Maximum height 4 570 mm for both of the platforms
Cut Section 1 and Cut Section 2 are created across Platform 1 and Platform 2, respectively. Then, click on “Generate Slopes” to generate the slopes. Click “Terrain” tab followed by clicking on Cut Section to view the cut sections generated.

Vertical Measurement
The vertical distance is measured from one flat berm to the next flat berm of the consecutive slope. Measurement below is based on Cut Section 1.
Vertical measurement of Cut Section 1
The vertical distance is measured from flat berm 1 to flat berm 2, which is 4.57 m.
Horizontal Measurement
Horizontal distance also is measured from one flat berm to the next flat berm.
