In MiTS, you can edit the IDF coefficient to be used in your drainage design. However, there is a bit of a difference between MiTS 2 and MiTS 3’s IDF coefficient adjustment for the Drainage module due to the different interfaces.
MiTS 2 #
- Click on the Drain button
- Go to the Properties tab in the RHS panel
- Click the ‘…‘ button at the end of the Location row to open the Location window
- Choose the location of your project, design ARI and CCF factor
- Adjust the IDF coefficient in the Fitting Constant row
MiTS 3 #
In MiTS 3, you can adjust your project’s IDF coefficient in both the RHS panel and Project Settings.
RHS Panel #
- Click on the Drain button
- Go to the Properties tab in the RHS panel
- Choose the location of your project
- Click the ‘…‘ button at the end of the IDF Coefficient row to open the IDF Coefficient dialogue box
- Edit the coefficient of the IDF according to your preferences
Project Settings #
- Go to Options > Project Settings
- In the Parameters dialogue box, go to Storm Design > Design Guideline > Malaysia
- Choose the location of your project by clicking the ‘…‘ button at the end of the Location row
- Click the ‘…‘ button at the end of the IDF Coefficient row to open the IDF Coefficient dialogue box
- Adjust the IDF coefficient according to your project’s data
