With no similar diameters between the MiTS catalog and the Genieko Gravity Pipe Network library for the structures (nodes) or pipes/drains, the synchronization will fail with a verification error: “Unable to Swap Part to the size….”, as in the image below.

With the Genabler plugin, users have the flexibility to add specific sizes for the structures and pipes easily— there is no need to go through the trouble of adding the diameters or modeling the required sizes through the PartBuilder in Civil 3D.

Note: The steps below are ONLY applicable to the Genieko Gravity Pipe Network Library.

Steps to resource up: #

1. Go to the Genabler tab in Civil 3D.

2. Navigate to the Resource Up section.

Add sizes for structures: #

1. Click on the ‘Add Sizes Structure’ button.

2. The software will open the Add Gravity Part Sizes dialog. Users will need to click on the ‘Circular’ or ‘Rectangle’ tab depending on the shape of the structures to be added.

3. Input the Inner Diameter, in mm. Click on the ‘Add’ button.
   • For example, add a Rectangular Sump with sizes: InnerW=1400, InnerH= 1400

4. The software will display a message, “Structure Size Added”. Click OK to close the message and click ‘Close’.

Add sizes for pipes: #

1. Click on the ‘Add Sizes Pipes’ button.

2. The software will open the Add Gravity Part Sizes dialog. Users will need to click on the ‘Circular’ or ‘Rectangle’ tab depending on the shape of the pipes to be added.

3. Navigate to the category of the pipes. Input the Inner Diameter and the Wall Thickness, in mm, for the pipes.

4. Click the ‘Add’ button. The software will display a message, “Structure Size Added”.

5. Click OK to close the message. Click the ‘Close’ button.

Where to check the added sizes? #

1. With the network synced ‘half successfully” (due to some unavailable sizes for the structures or pipes/drains), select any of the pipes or structures available in the drawing.

2. At the top ribbon, click on the ‘Part List’ button.

3. Click the ‘Edit Part List’ button.

4. Select Genieko Part List. Click on the ‘Edit’ button.

5. Navigate to the Pipes or Structures tab under the Network Parts List – Genieko dialog. Expand the category for which new sizes have been added for the pipes or structures. The new size added should be listed accordingly.
