MiTS Verify (Volume Comparison: MiTS vs. Civil 3D) #

Corridor End Area #

The feature allows users to compare the Cut and Fill volumes, following the End Area Method, between MiTS and Civil 3D.

Steps: #

  • In Civil 3D, go to the MES Tab.

  • Go to the MiTS Verify section and click on the ‘Corridor End Area’ button.

  • Set the Alignment, Sample Line Group, Materials, Start Chainage, and End Chainage. Click OK.
    • Note: When a road network includes junctions, differences in the calculated cut and fill volumes may occur. This is because MiTS calculates the cut and fill volumes for each road independently, without accounting for the junctions.

  • The software will display the cut-and-fill volume and compare it between MiTS and Civil 3D.
