In MiTS, users are able to change the color of the entities in utility modules according to their preferences.
Users may choose to change the color by three different methods. The first method is by changing the default color which will change the overall color of the pipes. The other methods are assigning color according to pipe type or based on pipe sizes. Please note that default color changes and pipe type basis will not be applied when the color setting for pipe size option is selected.
Changing Default Color #
By changing the default color, all the pipes in the module will follow the color selected by the user. To change the default color in each module:
- Go to the Input Setting / Drawing tab on the right hand side. All the layers included in each module are indicated by letters where D (Drainage), L (Water Reticulation) and S (Sewerage).
- Use the filter command line at the drawing tab to ease in finding the related layer of the utilities network. (D-DRAIN for Drainage module), (S-SEWER for Sewerage module), (L-PIPE for Water Reticulation module)
- Click on the color block.
- At the color tab pop up, choose the color preferred and click “OK”

Changing Color by Pipe Type #
Users are able to assign colors to different types of drain, sewer pipe and water reticulation pipe used accordingly.
Drainage #
To change the color according to drain type used, go to Options > Project Settings > Drainage > Drain Types. Then, choose which drain type that you use and change the color by clicking on the colored box. At the color tab pop up, choose the color preferred and click “OK”. Note that you need to tick the small box (at number 5) to apply the selected color. Next, click “OK”.

Sewerage #
To change the color according to pipe type used, go to Options > Project Settings > Sewerage > Material > Pipe Type. Then, click the colored box at the pipe type that you use. At the color tab pop up, choose the color preferred and click “OK”. Note that you need to tick the small box (at number 5) to apply the selected color. Next, click “OK”.

Water Reticulation #
In water reticulation module, there are two ways of assigning the color by pipe type.
Running Pipe System #
To change the color according to running pipe system, go to Options > Project Settings > Water Ret > Input > Running Pipe System. Then, click the colored box at the running pipe system that you have defined. At the color tab pop up, choose the color preferred and click “OK”. Note that you need to tick the small box (Use Custom Color) to apply the selected color. Next, click “OK”.

Pipe Type #
To change the color according to pipe type used, go to Options > Project Settings > Water Ret > Material > Pipe Type. Then, tick the small box at the pipe type that you use and click the coloured box. At the colour tab pop up, choose the color preferred and click “OK”. Next, click “OK”.

Changing Color by Pipe Size #
Starting from MiTS 3.3, users are also able to assign colors based on sizes used for each module accordingly. Once color by size option is activated, it will take precedence over the other two settings (by module or by type).
Drainage #
To change the color according to the drain size used, go to Options > Project Settings > Drainage > Drain Types. Then choose which drain type that you use. There will be a table listing the sizes available together with the color setting. You may tick the drain sizes that you use and change the color by clicking on the colored box. At the color tab pop up, choose the color preferred and click “OK”.

To change the color according to the pipe size used, go to Options > Project Settings > Sewerage > Design > Diameter. Then choose which pipe type that you use. There will be a table listing the sizes available together with the color setting. You may tick the pipe sizes that you use and change the color by clicking on the colored box. At the color tab pop up, choose the color preferred and click “OK”.

Water Reticulation #
To change the color according to the pipe size used, go to Options > Project Settings > Water Ret > Diameter. Then choose which pipe type that you use.
