User Interface (UI) is a display screen at the user end.
Above is the default UI. If a user wants to reset the UI to defaults, the user may go to Option > Machine Settings > Layout > Reset defaults
File Tab #
This is the “Welcome screen,” which appears when the user launches the software. It is also referred to as the “Backstage control,” a concept adopted by Microsoft Office and other modern Windows applications.
Main Tab #
Function of the ribbon at Main Tab;
Action – To allow the user to Undo/Redo
File – To save/open/save as MiTS’s project file. Not only that MiTS also allows the user to Merge and Backup the MiTS project file
Import – To Import all entities in one click
Move – To Move the project / tracing drawings
Survey Points & Soil Info – To Import Survey Points and insert borehole information
Earth/Storm Water/Pipe Utility – Before beginning to enter entity details, the user must first select the module in which the entities will be saved
View – If the user wants to see the 3D view, the user may click the button
Project – To Analyze all utility modules and Module Status allow the user to check on the entity status
Integration – 3D View of the design and clash analysis for all utility modules analyzed.
Export – The user may Export per output or use Batch Export, to export per module
Actions Tab #
AutoFix – To fix some errors automagically
Move – To move entity by translation or by point
Options Tab #
Project Settings – To allow users to adjust the design restriction etc. for the project. Users may refer to Here to learn more
Machine Settings – Settings regarding the behaviour of the software only
CAD Tab #
User may refer to ‘CAD Function’
View Tab #
Spread Input #
Spread input can be viewed by either clicking on the main “View tab” or in the Spread Input Views tab in each of the modules.

- Spread Input Views tab >> Spread Input
Verification #
Verification of warning/error can be viewed by either clicking on the main “View tab” or in the Verification Views tab in each of the modules.

Background Tasks #
Background task is a monitoring system used to provide information on processes running in MiTS. It is useful if the analysis does not come out with the full result and users may check whether the tasks are still running.
Click on “View > Background Tasks”
Right-Hand Side (RHS) Tab #
At the main layout, if user realize there is RHS Tab layout.
When the user activates the ribbon below, they will appear at RHS tab as shown above.
Properties #
Properties MISC tab is displayed on the right-hand side (RHS) to indicate the properties of the activated items.
Terrain #
The Terrain MISC tab is displayed on the right-hand side (RHS) to indicate the terrain of the development area.
Drawing #
Drawing layer of the modelling is displayed in Drawing tab on the RHS
Tracing #
Drawing imported layer properties are shown on the RHS.

Collect Diagnostic – When a user submits a report, MES requires the diagnostic file so that we can thoroughly investigate the user’s report
Application #
Check Update – To allow the user to check whether the version that the user currently uses is the latest one or not
