How to Check The Levels of The Survey, Platform, or Surface Synced?

After a successful sync, it is important to verify that the Z levels remain consistent between MiTS and Civil 3D.

The following steps outline how to check the Z levels in both software, MiTS and Civil 3D.

Civil 3D Surface #

  1. In the drawing file, go to the View tab.

  1. Expand Palettes by clicking the drop-down button > Click on Coordinate Trackers.

  1. A dialog will appear, go to the Surface section > Select the surface that we want the elevation to be read by the software.

  1. Hover the cursor on the area of the selected surfaces > The elevation can be checked under the Z column.

MiTS #

Survey Points Group #

  1. Click on the Edit button under the Survey Points & Soil Info section.

  1. Select any of the point that represents the terrain elevation > Check the Z level column under the Spread Input.

Platform #

  1. Go to the Earthworks Module > Click on the Edit button under the Platform section.

  1. Select any of the platforms > Under Spread Input, check the elevation under the Height column.
