After a successful sync, it is important to verify that the Z levels remain consistent between MiTS and Civil 3D.
The following steps outline how to check the Z levels in both software, MiTS and Civil 3D.
Civil 3D Surface #
- In the drawing file, go to the View tab.
- Expand Palettes by clicking the drop-down button > Click on Coordinate Trackers.
- A dialog will appear, go to the Surface section > Select the surface that we want the elevation to be read by the software.
- Hover the cursor on the area of the selected surfaces > The elevation can be checked under the Z column.


MiTS #
Survey Points Group #
- Click on the Edit button under the Survey Points & Soil Info section.
- Select any of the point that represents the terrain elevation > Check the Z level column under the Spread Input.

Platform #
- Go to the Earthworks Module > Click on the Edit button under the Platform section.
- Select any of the platforms > Under Spread Input, check the elevation under the Height column.
