Improvements and Fixes for MiTS 2.10

New Feature

General

Earthworks

Road

Water

  • Renumbering nodes and edges feature in addressing verification errors caused by duplicated water pipe markings.

MSMA

  • Implementation of Friend’s Equation for Time of Concentration (Tc) computation in OSD Swinburne Method
  • Users may choose to compute the Site Storage Requirement (SSR) using the PSD value derived from Equation 19.1 in MSMA or the PSD value equal to 70% of Qpre in OSD design.

Enhancements

General

  • Default ‘Optimize’ for tracing drawing imported under Survey Point Import Dialog
  • Improvement in 3D rendering with the ‘Avoid Z Fighting’ setting
  • Users can specify the extensions of files to be excluded from the backup.
  • Options between Manual Input or Calculated Input for Water Demand and PE calculator.

  • Enhancing the design of TOE Drain with incorporation of gradient dimension in accordance with the JKR standard

Road

Drain

  • A more detailed Excel Report showing the catchment mark for each of the drains.
  • Implementation of verification error on drains with duplicated edges.
  • Introduction of a verification error on Invalid IL – IL greater than the Ground Level or Platform Level to resolve unresponsiveness of the program during analyzation.

Water

  • Reducing the stringency of the verification error ‘The water demand and its input are unmatching’ to a warning instead.

MSMA

  • Enhancement of OSD report in accordance with JPS feedback

Bug Fixes

General

  • Improved error message on software’s inability to locate the original file path for the project file
  • Improvement in opening corrupted or incomplete project files in software
  • Data that is copied and pasted between the software’s Spread Input and MS Excel or Google Sheets (and vice versa) remains accurate for all modules
  • Individual Cut Sections and Cut Sections (Title Block) produced and exported aligned with the ‘Export Unit’ opted by the user
  • No crashes when clicking Defaults under Project Parameters when changes are made to the layer E-Area Element
  • Ensuring the underlying file path is kept up to date to prevent missing tracing files when the project file is moved or saved to a different name
  • No missing x-intervals or marking lines under the long sections of all utility modules.

Earthworks

  • Improved response time when updating a substantial number of platforms in the Spread Input by using the ‘Apply All’ function.
  • No error or crashing when deleting all vertices of a platform
  • The ‘Break’ feature for points can now be utilized without encountering any errors when moving the cursor to a non-vertex point
  • The retaining wall assigned to a platform appears properly on the cut section
  • Changing in Boundary input will be updated instantly in DTM Platform CutFill Volume once reanalyzed.
  • CutFill contours now are shown properly within the boundary line input.
  • Verification errors in earthwork modeling will be promptly updated in the verification panel once they are resolved.
  • Verification checks for boreholes located outside the boundary are now implemented
  • Enhancements have been made to the DTM Autobalance dialog with the implementation of a vertical scroll bar for projects with a substantial number of boundaries.
  • Real-time verification error for duplicated boundary names
  • Platform edges or corners numbering now displays in accordance with the selected ‘By Edges’ or ‘By Points’ settings under Platform Editor
  • Mesh coordinates exported will instantly update upon any changes made to the survey data

  • Improvement in slope generation for complex platforms with verification error suggesting user to break the platform into simpler polygons
  • The elevation of contour lines in the exported Input drawing is now properly aligned with the ground data
  • Improvement in the import of survey points from contour lines; When the ‘Minimum Polyline Vertex Spacing’ option is unchecked, only polyline or line vertices will be imported.
  • Text Display Settings for Survey Points at the Properties Grid has been corrected to eliminate duplication of the Horizontal Justify
  • Enhancement on software’s behavior for overlapping of the same road platforms with the implementation of ‘Use NTS buffer’ options.

Road

  • The existing platforms and slope ratios remain unchanged when changing the ‘Cross Section Type’ under the Project Parameters
  • Improvement in the generation of self-intersecting platforms
  • Enhancement in the generation of Cutside drain platforms at road junctions, thereby eliminating the self-overlapping behavior
  • Superelevation has been improved with the implementation of Reverse Crown (Transition between Normal Crown and Full Superelevation)
  • Invalid plane platform generation has been improved, hence eliminating unexpected errors and missing platform issue
  • Improvement of the SE Diagram in the Vertical Detailing of the latest version with the implementation of Reverse Crown
  • Implementation of a more detailed superelevation table with ‘Section Type’ and ‘Gradient Change/meter’ information
  • Software no longer crashes when CutSide drain is added as road offsets
  • Toe drains appear on KeyPlan with or without FillsideVerge as the road offsets
  • Improvement on Cross Section View of roads with Toe Drain by the elimination of unnecessary Toe Drain Length Dimension
  • Optimized processing speed to reduce the time required involving road projects with large tracing drawings.
  • The highlighted selection of road entities moves in sync when using the MoveUp or MoveDown button under the Spread Input of Road Width

  • Drain Node Table data is shown accurately on KeyPlan following the output from the analysis
  • No crash when software is analyzing drain networks with duplicated edges
  • Synchronization of the Design ARI opted under the Location dialog with the Drain Properties grid
  • Accurate presentation of NaN under the catchment slope column, following the NaN value displayed under the Overland Flow Time calculator dialog
  • Improvement on the iteration for starting IL of Cascading Drain by taking into account the minimum depth due to drain height

Sewer

  • Software no longer crashes when analyzing sewer design with unspecified pipe type.
  • Implementation of a verification error involving unspecified pipe type
  • Enhancements on tolerance for Invert Level values to address numerical bug causing the verification error ‘Outgoing IL is higher than Incoming IL
  • Enhancements on tolerance for minimum depth checking to resolve numerical bug triggering a verification warning on ‘Sewer End Node IL less than min depth

Water Reticulation

  • Water Demand updates accordingly as per the user’s input and any changes will be reflected when the ‘Apply All’ feature is used in the Spread Input column
  • Changes made to the Peak Flow Factor and Fire Flow Factor under Project Parameters will be reflected in the newly created pipe
  • Water Demand will be updated according to the user’s input when transitioning between pipes by either selecting the pipe listed or using the Next/Previous button within the calculator
  • The unit reflected on the header in the water demands report will be updated according to the changes in the unit selected under the Project Parameters
  • Running the Pipe System Display column will preserve the options selected by users under the Project Parameters
  • A verification error for corrupted pipe type has been implemented which can be resolved by following the suggested workaround or by using the AutoFix option

MSMA

  • The rainfall intensity reflected under the Stormwater Quantity Design Criteria will be updated instantaneously with the inclusion or exclusion of the CCF in the pond design
  • The storm duration input and the ARI opted will be preserved when the culvert design project is re-opened.
  • Implementation of warning on insufficient Required Water Depth provided by the user in OSD design.
  • Improvement on the computation of Required Water Depth in OSD design to resolve incorrect input validation on insufficient water depth.
  • OSD project designed following MSMA 2 Swinburne Method no longer experiences unresponsiveness when clicked
  • No crash on the software when clicking the Outlet Design tab in the Sediment Basin project
  • Coefficients for Rainfall intensity computation in the Sediment Basin project are now displayed and updated accordingly once the user inputs the location
  • Summary Report of pond project using MSMA 1 now displays the accurate storage time
  • Software no longer crashes when the water level simulation feature of the pond project is closed
  • Software no longer shows unexpected errors for newly created sediment basin project
  • No crash when the user clicks ‘Calculate’ for the Pond Requirement in the OSD project
  • The Basin Outflow Limit ARI and information on the outlet design is no longer missing when the Major Design Storm Primary Outlet is untick
  • Implementation of a warning on the mismatch between the total catchment area and the pond storage when the platform has been set as a Rainwater Harvesting
  • Accurate display of the slope value (m/km) in the Textual Report for both pond and OSD projects, computed using the Bransby William equation
  • No crash when the user clicks on the Overland Flow Time calculator dialog in IDF projects

MCIntegrator

  • Users can define Network in Civil 3D for Sewerage Pipe Sync and Drainage Pipe Sync without experiencing crashes in version 2023
  • Optimizing the synchronization of surfaces from Civil 3D to MiTS 2 platforms by minimizing the occurrence of incomplete platforms after snap rounding
  • With no part family member defined for the part type, software no longer crashes and a verification error has been implemented in the latest version
  • Software no longer crashes when the Structure Part Family and Part Size are not defined under Parameter and a verification error has been implemented under the Action Panel
