I’m Ngu Soon Hui, I’m the founder of MES Innovation Sdn Bhd and the Benevolent Dictator for Life for the MiTS infra software suite.
MES Innovation and MiTS Infra software Suite is the only thing I’m working on currently. Prior to this I worked as a developer in Esteem Innovation Sdn Bhd ( and published a few papers; see the Selected Publication section). With a total of 20++ years experience, I’m a veteran in civil engineering as well as the software field.
So, what do I do daily?
I write code, obviously. And I also direct a group of smart programmers ( I love mentoring) to write code and perform code reviews on their work.
I am also the product manager of MiTS software. I studied on all the civil engineering specs, authority guidelines and design code practices before decide on how to incorporate them into the software. And I’m the one who will ultimately answer on why the software result is correct, and why it’s this way or the other way. Here are some of my thoughts on how to be a good product manager.
Being a product manager for software also means that you are responsible for the user guides and technical documentation of it. That’s why I also edit the website so that it maintains clear, useful and updated resources for our users and potential users.
It’s no exaggeration to say that there isn’t a single line of code/feature/bug fixes/website change that goes live without my approval; that’s what Benevolent Dictator For Life means. Good or bad, The MiTS software and the writings on this website reflect my taste and idiosyncrasies.
I’m the guy to talk to if you have any ideas on what features the software should have. You can just WhatsApp me at+0163363304, or email me at soonhui@mes100.com to kickstart a discussion.
