Update in MiTS 3's Sewerage Module
The Sewerage Module in MiTS 3 provides an efficient and user-friendly platform for designing sewer networks. It allows users to define sewer pipelines, manholes, and connections while ensuring proper flow and compliance with engineering standards. The module automatically calculates hydraulic parameters such as flow capacity, velocity, and slope to optimize the sewer network. Users can also generate detailed reports, long sections, and key plans to support project planning and approvals. With enhanced customization and accuracy, MiTS 3 simplifies the sewerage design process for engineers and planners.
Latest Peak Factor According to MSIG
MiTS 3.2 now supports the latest Malaysian Sewerage Industry Guidelines (MSIG) Volume 1, incorporating the updated Peak Flow Factor of 3.4 as the default for sewerage analysis. Users can also manually adjust this value under Project Settings for flexibility. This update ensures compliance with the new SPAN regulations, which will be enforced starting March 3, 2025.

Manhole Design
MiTS 3’s sewerage module allow the users to define manhole shapes as circular or rectangular and add custom types through Project Settings. Manhole sizing can be set manually or iterated based on Malaysian Sewerage Industry Guidelines (MSIG) for proper depth and pipe size compliance. For depths ≥1.5m, users must manually adjust the diameter following the guidelines.
Absolute & Iterated Depth Below Invert
Depth Below Invert in MiTS 3 prevents outlet blockages by allowing users to define sump depths using Level (manual input) or Fixed Depth (exact sump depth). These options, found in Node & Storage > Spread Input, impact drainage calculations and can be analyzed in the Longitudinal Section view.
