If you encounter this problem, please follow steps provided below:
Diagnosis 1: You might not have vdraw convertor properly installed
1. Download VC++ 2008 SP1.
2. Uninstall old vector draw converter file (if it exists).
3. Install the latest one, please download it from here.
Diagnosis 2: that particular DWG file is corrupted. Other DWG file no problem.
You may want to save it in DXF or older version of DWG to work around the problem.
Diagnosis 3: The machine just won’t open any DWG file no matter what
If all else fails, just save it in DXF file and you should be able to open.
