Seminar on Creative Way of Infrastructure Design
Venue: Summit Hotel USJ
Speaker: Prof. Dr. Nor Azazi Zakaria and Ir. Hj. Ismail Abd. Rahman
Organiser: MES Innovation Sdn. Bhd.
Co-organiser: REDAC, USM
Synopsis:
The application of sustainable and green designs for effective urban stormwater management is presented in this seminar. Besides, the utilization of advanced modelling software for quicker and more efficient designs will also be introduced. Speakers involved are specialists in their topics with hands-on experience in the industry. And thus, the seminar will greatly benefit C&S consultants, contractors, developers, and government bodies interested in learning creative and innovative ways of infrastructure design for a better future.
Topic 1: Sustainable Green Drainage System for Urban Stormwater Management in Malaysia
The successful implementation of a sustainable green drainage system will be introduced, covering design calculations up to completion and post-construction evaluation after a few years with minimal maintenance.
Topic 2: Advanced Earthworks Modelling – Theory & Practice, & Topic 4: Adaptation of IT Solutions in Advanced Infrastructure Design
An in-depth look into the workings and machinations within an engineering software, including various considerations to ensure a relatively smooth user experience.
Topic 3: Rainwater Harvesting – Alternative Approaches
A detailed presentation on alternative approaches adopted by local authorities in designing rainwater harvesting as an effective mechanism for encouraging reuse of non-potable water whilst reducing urban runoff.
